Charles "Charley" William Paddock (August 11, 1900 – July 21, 1943) was an American athlete and two time Olympic champion. He made his first appearance in Europe at the Inter-Allied Games of 1919 in Paris.
A year later, in the Olympic Games at Antwerp, he won the 100m and the 4x100m relay and was second in the 200m. In Paris in 1924, he was second in the 200m and fifth in the 100m. His golden year was 1921, when he equalled the world record for the 100 yards (9.6 sec.) and improved on those for the 100m (10.4 sec.) and 220 yards in a straight line (20.8 sec.).
