Evelyn Ashford

Evelyn Ashford (born April 15, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana) is a Evelyn Ashfordretired American athlete. she won the 100m and 200 meters in both the 1979 and 1981 world cups. She lowered the world record to 10.79 at altitude before Helsinki. She popularized the leotard for sprinters. She is one of only six women to have won four gold medals in track and field Olympic history.
