Ilona Slupianek, (ilona briesenick) is a retired East German athlete. Briesenick ilona born 24, sep 1956), she won the European junior title in 1973. She also coming second in the discus competition. In her first Olympic games, in Montreal in 1976, she finished fifth. In Moscow, she won the gold medal at the Olympic games by biggest margin in woman’s shot putting history.
She was seven times East German (GDR) champion and set world records twice.
