Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi  or Mansur Ali Khan  nicknamed Tiger Pataudi, was an Indian cricketer and former captain of the Indian cricket team. He has been considered as "India’s greatest cricket captain".
He made his first-class debut for Sussex in August 1957 at the age of sixteen. On 1 July 1961, in a car accident he lost his right eye. Mansur madeMansoor Ali Khan Pataudi is Test Cricket debut in the year 1961 with a Test match played against England at Delhi. He scored 13 runs in the match. In the year 1962, he was named the Captain of the Indian Cricket team. He led the Indian team in 40 Test matches.

personal life

Mansoor married Indian film actress Sharmila Tagore. They had three children, Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor, Soha Ali Khan, a Bollywood actress, Saba Ali Khan, a jewellery designer.

Death

He died on 22 september 2011. His body was buried at Pataudi near Delhi.
