Marlies Göhr biography

Marlies Göhr (born 21 March 1958 in Gera, Thuringia) is a former East German track and field Marlies Göhrathlete,She won Gold in 100 m. European Championship 1978 and 1982. She was the first woman to crack 11 seconds for the 100 metres when at the East German Championships in 1977, she ran 10.88 cutting off 0.13. She finished eighth in the Montreal Olympic final of 1976 at the age of 18.
