Qutbu l-Din Aibak was a Turkic king who ruled at Northwest India. He was ruled from his capital in Delhi. He was known for built Qutb Minar and the Quwwatu l-Islam Mosque. He was the founder of the Mamluk Dynasty of India. Qutb-ud-din Aibak was a Sipahasalar under Muhammad Ghori, led the Ghorian army to Benaras and sacked it in 1194. He defeats the Raja of Anhilwara and Kingdom of Gujarat and becomes king. Qutb-ud-din Aibak king period was a short one of 4 years, died in 1210 in Lahore. His successor Iltutmish was his son in law who completed qutub minar.
