Ruth Fuchs biography

Ruth Fuchs (born 14 December 1946 in Egeln, Saxony-Anhalt) is a German politician and former Ruth Fuchsathlete. She won 11 East German titles, was ranked world number one in javelin for eight successive years. She won her first GDR title in 1967 and in 1970 won the first of four European Cup titles. In 1977, she won the inaugural World Cup competition in Dusseldorf.
