Yash Chopra is India's most successful director of romantic films. Not only director he has also achieved worldwide fame owing to his production house yash raj films, India's largest film production company.

work as an assistant director under his brother B.R.Chopra, who give him first chance in movie dhool ka phool. Than he started his own production company and produced daag (1973) as his first movie. Waqt, Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie (1976), Chandni (1989), Lamhe, Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai, and Veer-Zaara are some of the highly successful movies which Yash Chopra made. He made movies with every famous actors like amitabh bachchan, shahrukh khan, shashi kapoor, rishi kapoor etc.
Yash and his wife, Pamela, have two sons: Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. Aditya is a film director and manages most of Yash Rāj Production House. Uday is an actor.
