Heike Drechsler

Heike Gabriela Drechsler is a former German track and field athlete. Heike Drechsler GDR (b.1964)- At just 18, she became the youngest champion that year, with a remarkable series of Heike Drechslerjumps including a wind assisted .27 m, which bettered her personal best by 13 cm. She won the
European long jump title in 1987 and became the first world indoor champion at the long jump and 200 m in Indianapolis. She was the overall Grand Prix Champion in 1992, having been runner-up in 1990, winning the long jump title each year.
