Adolfo Consolini was an Italian athlete,  he succeeded in throwing the discus 41.77m, a distance that won him the national junior title at Florence. Between 1941 and june 1955, he was beaten by only one other European, his compatriot Giuseppe tosi. He won the European title three times with 52.23m in 1946 at oslo, 53.75m in Brussels. Six times European record holder consolini took his the last of these records in December 1955, with 56.98m, when he was nearly 39.
