Elvis Presley was an American singer and actor. He is referred to as "the King of Rock and Roll", or simply, "the King".  He was voted the 3rd Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Artist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in East Tupelo, Mississippi. He had a twin brother that was a still born.
He started his music career as recorded a song with producer Sam Phillips at Sun Records in 1954. His first RCA single, "Heartbreak

Hotel", was released in January 1956 and became a number-one hit in the United States. After two years from his film debut in Love Me Tender (1956), he was drafted into military service. In 1968 he returned to the stage in the acclaimed televised comeback special Elvis. In 1973 his first globally broadcast concert via satellite, Aloha from Hawaii. Use of drugs causes his health and he died in 1977 at the age of 42. He won three Grammys, also receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36.
